	Update on H1N1 Influenza – November 17th We continue to note a decline of the rate of absenteeism and of flu-like symptoms among students at various schools, and the school district is returning to almost normal rates of absence for this time of the year. If this good fortune holds, we will not need to continue providing weekly updates. >> Continue Added November 17, 2009 _______________________________________________________ New Protocol Regarding Use of Surgical Masks We all are aware that during flu season, it makes sense that those who are ill should keep their distance from those who are well. At this point, we have been pleased with the level of cooperation the schools have received on this. It appears that staff and students who are ill have been staying home. However, sometimes a student falls ill during the school day. In such cases, the health professionals reminding us all that the school nurse’s offices continue to promote the good practice of keeping ill children at a distance away from healthy children who may need other forms of nurse’s services. >> Continue Added November 9, 2009 _______________________________________________________ H1N1 Survey Results are Tabulated Thank you parents! - For participating in the online survey conducted through last week regarding H1N1 vaccination intentions.
