NOTICE TO CERTIFIED STAFF

ANTICIPATED                   HOMEBOUND/HOSPITAL INSTRUCTION TUTORS
VACANCIES:

JOB DESCRIPTION:          During the course of the school year, students will be identified who require instruction to be carried out at home or in a hospital.  Medical conditions in these cases prevent the student from attending school.  Students in elementary school generally receive five hours a week of tutoring.  Students in secondary schools generally receive 10 hours of tutoring.

ANTICIPATED                    APPLIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS (“ABA”) TUTORS
VACANCIES:                      Tutors Trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Discrete
                                          Trial Instructions for Assignments Outside of the School Day
                                          Tutors Trained in SCERTS Methodology Outside of School Day

EFFECTIVE:                       2009-10 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS:              Openings for the 2009-10 school year for tutors with training in ABA and discrete trial training, who will deliver programs in the child's home or other assigned site.  Responsibilities include conducting discrete trial sessions, data collection for current programs, data collection for mastered programs and data collection on generalization trials. Candidate must also have knowledge in behavior reinforcement, physical management training, and use of visual schedules.
                                         
Certified teacher responsibilities include developing and writing ABA programs, instructing non-certified staff in protocols for individual programs, data collection and review and modification of programs. They are also responsible for development of generalization and fluency programs when mastery is achieved.

RATE:                                Tutors with High School Diploma                       $28.00 per hour
Tutors with Associate Degree                             $30.00 per hour
Tutors with BA Degree                                       $35.00 per hour
Certified Teacher in General Education               $50.00 per hour
Certified Teacher in Special Education                $60.00 per hour
