Board of Education Policy Review and Revision 2014-15
The Darien Board of Education - as one of its goals for the 2014-15 school year - has undertaken a major review of its policies and administrative regulations. Related to the Board's policy work, the Student Activities Accounting Manual was revised and approved by the Board of Education on January 13, 2015.

New Special Education Procedures Manuals
The Darien Public Schools is pleased to announce the issuing of three new searchable manuals: the Special Education Standard Operating Procedures Manual, the Parent Guide to Special Education, and the Section 504 Standard Operating Procedures Manual. All three manuals are posted on the District’s website and are being distributed in print version in the schools and at the Darien Library. A link for anonymous feedback to assist administrators in improving the readability, clarity, and usefulness of the documents in future revisions can be found here.

FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:
On December 16, 2013, the Darien Board of Education received the final version of the special education report, “Procedures and Practices Relevant to the Administration and Operation of Instruction, Services and Support for Students with Disabilities in the Darien Public Schools for the 2012-2013 School Year,” prepared at the Board’s request by Sue Gamm, Esq. A revised Executive Summary (dated December 16, 2013) was also received.
