Welcome to Darien High School's web site. On this site you will find up-to-date information about virtually all aspects of our school community. DHS offers a rigorous and diverse academic program that caters to individual student needs and promotes a learning environment where excellence is pursued. Our spectacular high school also provides a wide variety of extra curricular activities ranging from athletics, to community service organizations, to special interest clubs, to performing arts groups – most of which have been locally and nationally recognized for their accomplishments. Part of my mission as the principal of DHS is to foster an environment where every student feels empowered to participate and be actively engaged in the assorted array of opportunities available at our school. DHS is a remarkable institution, and with your support, I plan to continue to propel it forward on the path of success.

Borders Project
The Borders Project is an online journalistic collaboration between high schools in the state of Connecticut. Its purpose is to widen the perspective of its readers by showing them what challenges schools outside their town and county borders face, and how districts are similar and dissimilar to their own.
We hope that learning about other schools will give students a head start on being an informed member of today's global community. If you are interested in participating, please contact us!
Our current topic is Foreign Language Education around the state.
To see what students from Norwich Free Academy, The Gilbert School, Trumbull High School and DHS have to say on this topic visit http://bordersproject.blogspot.com.
