Podcast Frequently Asked Questions

Darien High School has begun offering podcasts, small MP3 audio files you can download onto your computer or portable MP3 players such as an iPod. According to Wikipedia Podcasting is a compound word coined in 2004, that combines parts of two words: " iPod " and " broadcasting ." Even though the name is a misnomer, in that podcasting doesn't require an iPod and no over-the-air broadcasting is required, it has maintained its prominence in the face of numerous alternatives.

There are several ways to listen to Darien High School podcasts. You can simply click on the "Hear this Podcast" link from selected stories on the site and the podcast will automatically start playing on your computer. Or you can subscribe to our automated RSS feeds, download them, then listen whenever you want.
