NEASC SURVEY EXTENDED – PARENTS PLEASE TAKE THIS SURVEY
Darien High School is presently undergoing their decennial accreditation self-study with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The purpose of this self-study is to help us determine the high school’s strengths and areas needed for improvement. One element in the self-study is a parent survey. This survey will be used both by DHS faculty and staff during our self-study process as well as by the NEASC team that will be making the final accreditation decision. We are very much interested in your input and if you have not already done so we urge you to take the time to answer the questions thoughtfully. This short (about 10 minutes) anonymous survey can be taken by either or both parents from the following website: www.endicottresearchcenter.net
Please input the following survey code: P3135805 and click GO.
Please complete this survey by February 11, 2011. If you’d like more information about NEASC and the accreditation process please go to http://neasc.org

YWCA PARENT AWARENESS NETWORKis hosting follow-up discussions on the documentary "Race To Nowhere." Where do we go from here? How can we recognize the signs of youth stress? How can we start to make a change in our children’s environment? Parent Awareness has joined with local mental health professionals, including Family Centers, Liberation Programs Inc, Child Guidance Center of Southern CT, The Life Solutions Center of Darien, and Darien Library, to set up four dates for discussions. These discussions will have a “town hall” feel in a question and answer format, and will be loosely lead/moderated by the mental health professionals who will attend.
Dates are: Feb 3rd @ 7pm at the YWCA, Feb 7th @ 7pm at the Darien Library, Feb 15th @ 7pm at Family Centers, and Feb 17th @ - 7pm at Family Centers.
The discussions are free of charge, but space is limited, so please RSVP (name, email address, and date of interest) if you would like to attend: parentawareness@ywcadariennorwalk.org.
