Welcome to Hindley Elementary School
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year, and to all that it has in store for our students, staff, and families! The beginning of school is always very exciting and hopeful!
Hindley School exists for children. We are proud to be the recipient of the National Blue Ribbon, awarded to highest performance schools in the country. Our teachers are dedicated leaders and educators who place a high priority on empowering all children to become active, engaged learners. They hold high expectations of themselves, as well as their students, while maintaining a strong positive belief that everybody can be successful!
We will begin our school year with approximately 565 students Kindergarten - Grade 5. Learner-centered classroom environments will prevail as our knowledge of students become the main focus of all teaching, and as our instruction centers on inspiring student thinking, problem solving and learning.
Our Hindley Parent Teacher Organization is an active group of parents who generously contribute to all aspects of our school community. The PTO is strongly committed to supporting, enhancing and enriching instruction by way of providing additional programs, projects and extended activities connected to the core curriculum. The Welcome Center supported by the efforts of the PTO, acts as a reception and information center for all who enter our school building. The Welcome Center is managed by parent volunteers and has become a popular place to contribute your time! A Campus Monitor is an integral component to our Welcome Center and plays an important role in screening all visitors who enter our building.
Our goal at Hindley School is not just to create a better school, but, most importantly, to create a better world for children. I am excited about the possibilities that a new school year always brings and look forward to working with our outstanding students, staff and parents.
