My dear Hindley Parents and Darien community,

It is my true pleasure to welcome you to the 2015-2016 school year at Hindley School. Our school days are filled with positive energy and pride as we move forward each day within our community of learners!

Our mission statement is clear and concise – "Hindley School exists for children." We are most mindful of that throughout each and every day. Our Hindley teachers and staff accept this powerful mission with passion, humility, sensitivity and courage. Our strong desire is to provide for our students and school community the necessary skills to become competent problem solvers and outstanding, contributing citizens as they venture out into the world.

Our Hindley PTO continues to be a strong, formidable group of parents who generously support all aspects of our school population. We have many interested and talented parents who offer their time, ability and flair to enhance a thriving school and abundantly enrich all aspects of a flourishing school life. We are greatly appreciative of the support from our Hindley PTO in all areas of enrichment and enhancement within our school community.

I am thrilled and proud to be working with a talented and dedicated staff, within a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon school where parents are supportive of our efforts. Children are our greatest, natural resource. We take our responsibilities seriously to nurture, protect and develop youngsters to their fullest potential and we thank you for your trust in us in doing so.

The Hindley staff, parents and surrounding community share a common vision. We dedicate ourselves to creating a high quality, learner-centered environment, with a supportive and encouraging approach to maintaining a school community which is conducive to learning, socializing and working.

On a personal note, as always, I am very excited and inspired to be able to work with a talented teaching and support staff, an outstanding parent group and our students in making the 2015-2016 school year a most rewarding and positive educational experience for all our children!

Written with warm regards,

Rita M. Ferri
Principal
