Dear Parents:

The Summer Reading Guidelines for 2006 are complete. All students on each grade level are required to read at least three books from the Summer Reading List. They may choose any book they have not already read from this list. Students are to complete one book form for each book they read. These will be given to their LA I teachers (6th grade) or their English teachers (7th and 8th grades) at the start of the school year. Students will also be presenting book talks to their classes.

Students who are entering 8th Grade Advanced English are required to read four books from the Summer Reading List and complete four book forms.

We will be sending the Summer Reading List to the Darien Public Library and to local bookstores so that books will be available to you.
