AUDITIONS ARE OVER! CALL BACKS COMING!

This year's auditions were intense and extremely successful! A major congratulations goes out to all students who came out and participated.

This year, we are doing things a bit differently. On Friday, November 13th, we are going to post TWO lists. In the morning, we will post a call back list. These students must see Mr. Rickert by the end of the day on Friday to get a call back packet. This packet will include songs and other pieces of information that students will need to study for the call backs, which will take place on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17th! The call backs will run from 2:45 to 5:30 in the auditorium. Students should expect to stay for the entire time! These call backs will be for the principal roles in the show, and they will not involve every student.

To help students prepare for the call back, we've included the following link. The company that owns the rights to Seussical, MTI, provides clips for each song on their website. Click here to check out some of the clips!

On Friday afternoon, a preliminary cast list will also be posted in the rotunda. Those students who do not make this cast list are asked to participate in the stage crew. This initial list will NOT have specific parts. It is simply an initial list of who has been offered a spot in the cast. The finalized list including parts will be posted next week.

Any student on the preliminary cast list should plan on coming to a final audition/cast bonding session on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19th! This will give the production staff one last chance to see the students on stage before making the final decisions about each part.

SYNOPSIS

Now one of the most performed shows in America, "Seussical" is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty ("Ragtime," "Once On This Island") have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big  imagination--Jojo. "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" captures the show's spirit of imagination, as the colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.
