Number of Years at MMS: 3

Interview by Jay A., Purple Team

Question: What inspired you to become an English teacher?

Ms. Vita: I started as a volunteer teacher, but then went into advertising. I didn't feel like I was making a difference doing advertising, so I decided to teach.

Q: Why English?

Ms. Vita : I love English, and I wanted to be like my middle school English teacher.

Q: Have you had jobs before this?

Ms. Vita: I was a swim instructor. As I mentioned I was in the advertising industry, and now I'm a teacher/tutor.

Q: Were you always a fantastic writer?

Ms. Vita : No! When I was your age I was an average writer it took good teachers to really step up my writing to a new level.

Q: Where have you taught?

Ms. Vita: I was a student teacher at Peartree Point School. I taught in Greenwich, but then realized I didn't want to teach in the same town I lived in. So now I'm here, and I was Navy (8th Grade) and now Purple (7th Grade) for two years.

Q: Favorite TV shows?

Ms. Vita : I liked Sienfield, and a current show would be So You Think You Can Dance.
