Memorable Deaths of 2006

We all will remember the individuals who changed our lives, whether it's wrestling reptiles, being an influential singer, or changing the political landscape. The passing of the following individuals had the largest impact on our nation this year.

Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin

You all know about the very popular star on Animal Planet, Steve Irwin, otherwise known as the Crocodile Hunter. The fascinating reptile warrior was born in February 1962 in Victoria, Australia and unfortunately died of a sting ray attack on September 4, 2006. We will all remember the crocodile wrestler who changed TV history.

James Brown

The Godfather of Soul was an extremely well known singer, and was one of the most influential figures of the 20th century. James Brown was born May 3, 1933 and passed away on Christmas Morning of 2006. He was active in the political affairs of America , helped African Americans, and contributed positively to the poor. He will be remembered by many individuals around the globe.

Gerald Ford was the 38th president of the United States . He was born on July 14, 1913, and died on December 26, 2006. He had been interested in politics long before he became president. He became Republican Minority Leader of the House of Representatives after serving as a representative from Michigan's 5th Congressional District. He will remain a remarkable figure in history.
