J. T. V. - Volume #3 Almost 2 months have past since our last issue, so here is my recap of the fall season's latest developments. On Monday night, CBS has a great line-up. How I Met Your Mother has had one laugh-out-loud episode. The highlight of the season was an episode featuring Ted designing a sketch of a building for his boss when he decides to go to the bar with Barney. Barney explains to Ted that being an architect is a great way to pick up women. Ted already has a girlfriend so he dismisses the thought, but when he's walking out asks a random girl, do you think architects are hot? She says yes. Then an hour later Robin comes to the bar looking for Ted. Complete strangers then send her and Lily all over NYC looking for him, and everyone she asks says, "Ted Mosby, architect." After going to parties and the bar, she barges in on Barney! Barney used Ted's name instead of his. It all ends well and Ted designs a great building. The rest of the episodes were not as good. Lily worked for Ted and stole his boss's signed Pete Rose baseball. She returned the ball and went back into teaching. Also, Ted finds out his Grandma is dead and his parents have been divorced for years at the same brunch table Barney was telling Ted that his dad was cheating on his mom. The Lily-Marshall love story is resolved as they try to elope in Atlantic City! Barney tells the judge that they broke up and the elope failed. Overall: 92.49, not an A like last season but getting close. A-. In The Amazing Race, teams have been in fierce competition traveling across the globe. At first teams were eliminated one-by-one at the end of each leg, but lately there have been several non-elimination or a continued legs. Slowly, the competition worked its way down to three, knocking out the Father and Daughter team “Duke and Lauren.” During that episode, Mary “Coalminer's wife” sprains her ankle as the “Barbies,” Dustin and Candice, take first place. Next Tom and Terry are eliminated because of their inability to row a raft down a river. Rob and Kimberly are smooth sailors and take 1st place. After fighting the entire next leg, Peter and Sarah settle their differences to finish in first place. David and Mary's aching ankle finish last and are tagged meaning they have to finish more than 30 minutes of the team in last or they are out on the next leg. However, David and Mary were extremely lucky that they have friends like the Cho Brothers. The Cho's knew that David and Mary are in a pinch so they helped them win the fast-forward, which turns the tables around. David and Mary took first place as Sarah and Peter “Newly dating” kept fighting and got lost in the Kuwait desert. The next two legs were won by Dustin and Candice as David and Mary got marked again and then finally eliminated. Now there is only one complaining team left. After an ongoing episode 9, the Cho's, Godwin and Erwin, were eliminated on the count of niceness. They waited for Lyn and Karlyn to finish the challenge and in return they got a last place finish. In episode 11, Dustin and Candice got tagged even though Lyn and Karlyn were yielded. Dustin and Candice got eliminated leaving Tyler and James, Lyn and Karlyn, and Rob and Kimberly left for the finale. In the finale, Rob and Kim jumped out to an early lead, but TEAM BAMA found a mysterious airport that put them in 1st . After Rob complaining about not sky diving for the millionth time, they were headed to New York. Well, not all the teams, Bama were stuck at the airport, giving them third place. In the end, Tyler and James, the former drug-addicts turned models took home $1,000,000.
