Hope Pizza located at 230 Hope Street in Stamford is relatively unknown among the DHS population. But don't let that fool you because its pizza just may be one of the best in the area. It's definitely for those who like thick-crust and lots of cheese. I would stay away if you prefer a thinner crust pie.
The pizza can be compared to Post Corner's as they have a similar taste. However, Hope Pizza tends to have more cheese, which can be a bit overwhelming if you have additional toppings My favorite part of the pizza is their crust. They manage to keep it thick without it being doughy or soft.
If you order a pizza for pickup, it typically takes 15-20 minutes for preparation. The pizza only comes in two sizes: large ($12.50for a cheese) and small ($6.50 for a cheese). The larges are cut Post-Corner style into squares while the smalls are cut into more traditional slices.
Hope Pizza doesn't deliver, but I believe it's worth the trip if you lie near the Stamford border. Hope Pizza is also a nice place to sit down for dinner. The restaurant area is clean and nicely decorated. Typically it is not very crowded. So if you've been looking for a new pizza place, I recommend that you give Hope Pizza a try.
