Love is in the air, and so is the pressure to get the perfect gift for that special someone in your life on Valentine’s Day. However, sometimes this can be a challenge to find so one might have to settle for something…well….less than desirable. DHS is no exception to this problem. Here are a couple of students who have received some pretty strange Valentine’s Day Gifts.

Junior Ali Aparicio (left): “I got a box of half eaten chocolates once.”
Junior Kate Bushell (right): “The worst thing I’ve ever gotten on Valentine’s Day was a bad grade.”

Junior Angelica Cortez (left): “Dead flowers.”
Junior Emily Molnar (right): “My mom gave me Halloween candy one year.”

Junior Brittany Tiano (left): “I got a pair of bright pink socks with sequined hearts on them”
Junior Callan Clasby (middle): “Car keys and no car”
Junior Ian Crane (right): “When I was in elementary school, I got a Valentine’s Day card from a classmate and inside of it were carrots.”

Senior Jordan Irizarry (left): “A fleece blanket…”
Senior Kelly Keating (right): “My siblings and I got lottery tickets”

Junior Andrew Morgan: “I got one of those huge “I Love You” teddy bears from someone I barely knew”

Junior Couple Ali McGarey and Will Ardery:
Will: “I picked this girl the most beautiful flowers from my mom’s garden”
Ali: “This kid came to my front door with a bouquet of really weird flowers. There was a bee inside and it stung my face!”
