Park Animal Hospital Opens Its Second Location in Darien

It’s 11 o’clock on a Sunday night. Just as you are getting ready to head to bed, your four-legged member of the family ran out the front door in a flash. With a new location at 168 Noroton Avenue, Park Animal Hospital has become an asset to Darien and expanded from another location in Norwalk. According to the hospital’s website, at Park Animal Hospital “[they] strive to provide your pet with the best preventative health care available and possess the proper equipment and highly trained staff to perform all surgical, medical and dental procedures.”
The Our Intensive Care Unit at Park Animal Hospital is equipped to provide for every need “from surgical recovery to critical care.” The staff provides, for those who need it, “heat support, fluid therapy, oxygen support, and intravenous medications for as long as is necessary.”
This highly trained staff is relatively small, with one doctor, two technicians/assistants, three client communication specialists, and one groomer. The doctor and chief of staff, Dr. Lawendy, V.M.D., is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. There he received training in large and small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry and additional training in hip dysplasia screening, soft tissue, and cancer treatments.
Park Animal Hospital comes to Darien to offer laboratory, hospitalization, surgical, and medical services, all with state of the art medical equipment. According to the website, this equipment includes “on site radiology, ultra sonography, endoscopy, oxygen therapy, anesthesiology and the latest medical treatments.”
