NEIRAD enilno edition
Darien High School has an eclectic collection of styles within its student body. While each person has a look unique to them, there are always a few trends each season that are able to fit into any type of wardrobe.
On a different note, there are some styles that aren’t necessarily bad, but should definitely be left at home in the dresser drawers during school. This month, Neirad Enilno explores some of fall’s hot trends and some general fashion don’ts to get our readers off on the right foot for the new school year.

Do: Wear Ruffles
Whether they are on a shirt, skirt, or dress, ruffles make for a chic outfit that has moved out of the formal wear realm into a look for everyday wear.

Don't: Go too Casual
Pajamas are the most comfortable things out there, but save them for home or hanging out in the sorority house in college.

Do: Wear Florals/Prints
Floral pieces have come back this year, and they can be worn in all different ways. Yes, even in winter you can keep the look of the bygone summer days with floral brights.

Don't: Reveal too much
Many are unaware that DHS does have a dress code. (Click here to read more on the school dress code. See page 9)
Be sure not to wear clothes that don’t fit or are too provocative and aren’t school appropriate. How awkward is it for classmates or teachers when they can’t even make eye contact when faced with a plunging neckline in math class?

Do: Sport Horizontal Stripes
This fall, stripes are all over the place, especially nautical stripes. This look set sail in the spring and has continued with a forecast for smooth sailing this season in sweaters and tops paired with a neutral pant.
