Cribs is kicking off the new year by peeking into the artsy and sophisticated room of junior Haley Clifford. With its unique interior decorations and relaxing aura, Clifford’s crib is one sure to kick off the 2011 year right.
This chair is one of Haley’s favorite places to relax, and the decorations hanging from her ceiling in this corner are fond memories of her sweet 16 birthday party.
“My room is really influenced by traveling and living overseas. I lived in Ireland in seventh grade and I go there every year because we have family there.”
Haley’s room incorporates her loves of art, running, field hockey, and her aspiration to one day become a doctor.
I use my desk as a space to work on and I love all my collages of pictures because of all the memories they remind me of.”
Haley describes her bedroom as “classy and calming.” The color scheme is browns and blues; Haley says it is inspired by a beach setting, similar to the décor of the rest of her house. She says the color palette in her room is very relaxing.
One of Haley’s favorite parts about her room is the deer head above her bed, which she was inspired to incorporate into her well-balanced room after seeing it in a magazine. Another favorite of hers are the stripes that she painted herself along with her two bedside tables.

A unique feature of Haley’s room is that it was designed by her mother, an interior designer with her own business: Cliff House Designs. “My mom made my curtains and my pillow,” she said. Haley’s curtains are made of French fabric and are covered with French trademarks and sayings. Displayed here is also Haley’s artwork in the making, which is a favorite hobby of hers.
