Welcome to Ox Ridge Elementary School

To the Ox Ridge School Community:

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year, and to the events, activities, and learning experiences that will fill our students’ year!  As we look forward to each school year, we enjoy the sense of renewal and high expectations that we share as students, parents, teachers, and administrators.  We are dedicated to the success of our students, and to providing the optimum educational experience for each.

This year, we look forward to a number of curriculum initiatives and improvements  – continued enhancement of our literacy program, with improved assessment, attention to “word study” and professional development for staff; further differentiation in mathematics instruction; the addition of “SmartBoards” in grades one and two; refinement of our social studies curriculum; and the introduction of a new teaching position, that of learning specialist.

As always, I encourage parents to be involved in our school, by attending PTO meetings, serving on a parent committee, or volunteering in classrooms or in other parts of our school.  We are proud of the close relationship among our school’s administration, staff, and families!
