Junior Great Books is coming to
Ox Ridge
The most fun you can have reading!
Do you enjoy reading? Are you ready to discuss the stories you read? If so, Junior Great Books is ideal for you. It is your chance to meet in a small group to talk about terrific stories. Enjoy sharing ideas with your friends; there are no wrong answers and your opinion always counts.
Junior Great Books is open to students in grades 2 through 5. Each group is led by a trained parent volunteer and the program will run from January to March during lunch/recess for eight weeks. The stories are short, a pleasure to read and definitely worth talking about! This fun program provides a superb framework for strong reading comprehension, critical thinking and writing.
Class size is limited to ensure optimal discussions, so return your form to the office ASAP. Please enclose a check for $50 made payable to Ox Ridge PTO. Fees cover volunteer training, supplies and a grade specific collection of stories for each participating student. Sign up deadline is December 7th.
