Junior Great Books

Junior Great Books is a literature-based, student discussion group. A story is explored using the techniques of shared inquiry - a method of learning characterized by open-ended questions and a strong emphasis on interpretation.

Each week a small group meets to talk about a story that they’ve read. Each group is led by parent volunteers. There are no wrong answers and your opinion always counts. This fun program provides a superb framework for strong literacy skills, including listening intently, looking for meaning and communicating persuasively.
Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks in the Winter/Spring.
