Ox Ridge Community

As returning families know, Ox Ridge is a special place and much more than just a school for our children. We are a community that cares for all of its students, parents, teachers and staff. Ox Ridge has a Welcoming Committee, whose purpose is to welcome new families and an SOS Committee to help out families who find themselves in need of support.

Ox Ridge School and the PTO offer a variety of programs to extend the school experience before and after school. Many of these offerings are listed below with details subject to change. We hope that your children will take advantage of these great programs.

Intramurals - Grades 3 through 5 in the Gym in the mornings.

Orchestra - Grades 4 & 5. Tuesday before school. Contact Dylan Spielvogel. Note Third Grade Strings meets during the school day.

Beginner Band - Grades 4 and 5 Friday mornings in the Band Portable. Contact Mr. John Macri.

Advanced Band - Grade 5 Thursday mornings in the Band Portable. Contact Mr. John Macri.

Chorus -Grades 4 and 5 Wednesday mornings in the Common Room. Contact Mr. James Allen.

Safety Patrol - Grades 4 and 5 before and after school. Contact Ms. Christine Newkirk.

Student Council - Grades 3 through 5. Elected in September and January. Contact Mrs. Cathy McGettigan.

Chess - Grades 1-5. Monday or Wednesday mornings run by National Educational Chess Association.

Kids Care Club - Grades K through 5. Friday mornings – once a month. Contact Priya Krishnan or Missy Almy.

After School Programs - Grades 1-5 - Afterschool Program in the fall and Grades K-5 in the winter and spring. Contact Brooke Kennedy and Annie Weibel.
