Welcome to Royle Elementary School in Darien, CT.

Update from the Royle Family
The first months of school have flown by at Royle.  We have had an eventful fall with our successful Royle Rally for Reading.  Royle families logged in over 400,000 hours of reading!  Our Veteran’s Day event featured a purple heart recipient and the 90+ year old fighter pilot dad of one of our teachers.  The band and chorus performed and our Student Council President reminded all in attendance of the history and importance of this day.  This event is truly a Royle tradition and community builder.

With a renewed focus on Science, we published a sequence chart to ensure the continuity of teaching and learning, K-5.

Perhaps our best community building activity has been the introduction of our STAR program.  Students, teachers and even our wonderful custodian have been recognized for their good deeds.  Our first STAR constellation display acknowledged over 155 students.  That number almost doubled with our second constellation.  We invite you to stop by the board the next time you are in the building to STAR gaze and read about the care and cooperation we are exhibiting at Royle School.

Thank you for your interest . . .

John Grasso
Interim Principal
