Dear Royle School Parents,
Where has the year gone? It seems like just yesterday that the kindergarteners were
looking very nervous on the front steps as parents took their photos, and now they
are ready for first grade! And the fifth graders suddenly seem too big for Royle. They
are clearly ready for their next adventure at Middle School. Our children are not the
only ones who have had a busy year. The PTO, with well over 100 volunteers, has been
busy making Royle the great place it is!
Thanks to your continued generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal at Royle. This
money went directly back to our children and the school in the form of wonderful
enrichment programs and field trips. With this money, we were able to replace
playground equipment with new, safer, slides. A new PA system in the Common room
will be installed over the summer, allowing us to better enjoy the great concerts.
Thank you all for your support of our fundraisers this year!
With countless volunteer hours, you continued our beloved school traditions, kept our
school community informed, and looking beautiful year round. You helped teach our
children about the benefits of good health, recycling, safety, kindness and community
service. You made our Royle staff feel loved and appreciated and our new families felt
welcomed. You gave our children memories to cherish for a lifetime!
As this year winds down, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for yet
another wonderful year at Royle. It is because of your support, involvement and
enthusiasm that Royle School is such a special place to raise and educate our children.
We are so fortunate to have parents like you that truly care about the quality of their
children’s education and are willing to give their time and energy to our school.
In closing, we would be remiss if we did not bid a final farewell to our fearless leader
and beloved principal, Neal Gallub. We wish him many happy years of retirement!
We look forward to receiving postcards from many exotic places.
We hope you have a happy, safe and restful summer. For those of you who may be
leaving Royle, we wish you good luck and hope you will visit. We look forward to
seeing the rest of you in late August!
Warmest Regards,
Stephanie Paul and Jennifer Shea
