The Royle Gift Cards program (formerly known as Royle Rewards) is going into it's third year. Twice a year (fall and spring), it offers our families the opportunity to purchase gift cards from national merchants conveniently at Royle. They may be used like cash to buy products and services either for personal use or as gifts.
We will continue to work with Great Lakes Scrip ( www.glscrip.com ). They are an established company that has formed relationships with more than 300 retailers/merchants nationwide. They buy discounted gift cards in large volumes from these retailers, and in turn offer them at a discount to non-profit organizations to sell at face value. So the Royle PTO keeps the difference between the discounted price it pays and the face value/sale price. The discount varies with each merchant and the average is about 7%.
The list of merchants is extensive. In order to keep it simple, we offer a condensed list of national merchant that we think will have broad appeal to the Royle community (see order form). Feel free to look at the list on-line and request any special orders. The possibilities seem endless.
Each merchant has its own terms and conditions (see retailer list on the Great Lakes website). Some gift cards may be used online. There is typically no replacement of lost/stolen cards. Some cards carry expiration dates and/or inactivity fees but laws governing this vary state by state.
It is so easy! Just fill out the form, attach your check or cash and send them to the school office. Because gift cards are the equivalent of cash, we must distribute in person, rather than sending home via children's backpacks.
