  Kids Care Club

Kids Care Club is a national organization dedicated to helping children develop the spirit of charity and compassion through hands on community projects. Royle's Kids Care Club is open to any interested student who wants to help others in their community and their world. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged and is crucial in guaranteeing success with our projects and in helping to teach our children social responsibility, compassion and recognizing their own personal power to make a difference!

Some of Kids Care Club's past projects include : backpack/school supply collection for foster care children, playing BINGO with senior citizens, warm winter coat drive for Harlem, NY, baby care packages for Bridgeport Hospital, preparing bag lunches for the homeless shelters, making special treats for the local fire departments, book drive to help rebuild libraries/schools in New Orleans , helping to sponsor a child in Malawi , Africa, jog-a-thon to raise money for a racing wheelchair for a young athlete. Be part of a GREAT club with a GREAT cause!

Here’s how to make a Holiday Hope Chest:

  1. Cover top and bottom of a shoebox with wrapping paper, stickers, etc. or use a clear plastic container.  It is important to cover the bottom and top separately so the box can be opened.
  2. Fill your box with NEW gifts (see below for ideas).
  3. Secure box with strong rubber bands.
  4. Create a gift tag with gender and age information (GIRL/BOY) and AGE (4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-15 or 16-18) and attach it. It should be “From a kid who cares at Royle School Kids Care Club”
