coil pots, Zoomorphic vessels, large leaf platters, textured vase/pitcher,water jug with faces, mid-term: rice bowls, native american ware, themed boxes, wheel thrown forms
Ceramics
2 (F103):
Review wheel tecniques, composite pots, wabi sabi construction, plates, mid-term: lidded jars, teapots
Ceramics 3 (F105): Fine tune wheel techniques. Students use Acessceramics.com. Students explore styles of various artists while developing their own style. Projects due: Fractured/redesign form, design carved form, nesting bowls, lidded jars, independent projects, nesting bowls, body of work.
Graphic Design (F109):
introduce Adobe Illustrator, illuminated letters, elements of art, altered pictures, community project: Darien Going Green. adobe photoshop: surreal, self-narrative, watercolor, obscure place, product design with ad and logo design
