Lesson Plan
In this project, you will work independently and collectively to create a
5min broadcast quality news program that can air on WAVE TV, be shown on the
school VBRICK system, or posted on our school web site.
Composition Elements
- Show Open - Mr. V will handle this time
- Lower Thirds
- Stock Audio (no copy write protected audio allowed)- Mr. V will post
loops and sound fx on our new terabyte drive
- Side Bars when needed
- All reporters will be filmed in front of our green screen for special
effects compositing (except on location reporting)
- Color Schemes will be used for all
broadcast elements (lower thirds-station logo-side bars-show open-transitions)
- Be mindful of the Rule Of Thirds

Rendering
Projects will be rendered for use in both broadcast (DVD or
VHS) and network streaming formats MPEG2 Transport Stream(VBRICK).
Assessment - Due 1/18/06
- Each student will be graded individually
- There will also be a group grade
- Project files and linked audio and video files will be stored on our
network
I will provide a detailed rubric and timeline with due dates
to evaluate your progress and overall grade. If we are not allowed to broadcast
on WAVE TV or the school network your grades will reflect it.
