Please be careful about where you are posting your comments/questions. In order to ensure that they are answered and viewed correctly, you must post them with the corresponding blog entry.
For example, if you have a question about an assignment from one week, be sure to post it with that week’s homework, unless there is a specific blog about that assignment (such as the Journals/Bell Ringers from the Portfolio).
Questions and comments that are filed incorrectly may not be answered or posted.

Monday 11/3: 1. Read and complete the 6.2 worksheet for Wednesday; 2. Watch SOME of the presidential election results Tuesday night (YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO STAY UP AND WATCH THE ENTIRE THING!). The results should start around 7:30/8:00. Color the electoral map that you were given in class with the corresponding winner (blue: Obama, red: McCain). Fill in as much as you can, and you can get the rest of the results in the morning.

Wednesday 11/5: Maya Life Reading and diary entry (see assignment at bottom of reading)
Thursday 11/6: Cortes reading/questions
Friday 11/7: none, study for Wednesday’s map quiz. (You may use this blank map of Mexico to help you study).
**PLEASE NOTE: There will be a quiz on the Map of Mexico on Wednesday, 11/12.

Below you will find a link to the Bell Ringers and Journals that I had listed in my plan book for the first quarter. These may differ slightly from what was actually done in class as I may have altered them when I wrote them on the board. This is a good place to start, though, for making sure you are up to date before turning in your portfolio.
Remember, the portfolio is due on or before Thursday! Bonus Bucks will be given to students who turn in their portfolios before Thursday.

To study for the Canada test, please consult the Canada Test Review Sheet. To review for the map section, you can download a Blank Canada Map to practice. (*Note: there are more cities marked on the map than you need to know. Please refer to TOC#8 for the list of required places.)
You may also post questions about the review sheet to this blog or answer each other’s questions once they are posted. There was a review session Thursday after school, but feel free to see me in the mornings if you have specific questions.
I have also uploaded the Canada Jeopardy Review game from class today. If you have PowerPoint, feel free to play to help you review! (Note, the sounds do not trasnfer.)
