The primary goal of the Darien High School Athletic Program is to develop successful qualities and winning attitudes in our student athletes.
The challenges associated with competitive athletics create learning experiences that enable students to grow and mature.
In 2022/2023 Darien will field 66 athletic teams in twenty-five different sports. The program features 34 Varsity, 21 Junior Varsity and 11 Freshman teams. Blue Wave athletes come in all shapes, sizes and abilities.
Fall sports include cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, boys golf, soccer, girls swim/dive and girls volleyball.
The winter sports are basketball, cheerleading, girls gymnastics, ice hockey, indoor track, skiing, squash, boys swim/dive and wrestling.
Spring sports include baseball, girls golf, lacrosse, outdoor track, rugby, sailing, softball, tennis and boys volleyball.
Fees –please note there are currently sports fees associated with ice hockey, squash, skiing and sailing.
