ASPEN

To all Parents/Guardians of new students & students currently enrolled in DPS:

Darien Public Schools uses the ASPEN system, a secure, web-based school information management system to collect all parent/guardian/emergency contact and medical emergency information for students.

It is essential that Parents/Guardians complete the emergency information for each child electronically via the ASPEN system upon enrollment, annually and throughout the year if contact/medical information changes.

Parents/guardians must complete the ASPEN medical emergency card in its entirety to provide:

  • emergency contact information
  • medical consent
  • consent to release a child to another identified adult in event of illness or emergency in parent/guardian’s absence.

Upon completion of emergency/medical information the parent/guardian’s electronic initials are required in order for the information to process and to authorize the information in effect for each school year.

Annually, and throughout the school if the contact/medical information changes, parents/guardians must review and update all of the emergency contact/medical consent information in the ASPEN emergency/medical fields for each of your children enrolled in DPS.

Parent/Guardian’s electronic initials are required in order for the information to process and to authorize the information in effect for each school year.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SCHOOL NURSE DIRECTLY SHOULD YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH INFORMATION CHANGE OR IF YOU ADD AN ALERT TO YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH PAGE ON ASPEN.
