Finding mental health support can be challenging, and while the list below is not exhaustive, it is meant to provide the Darien Public School community accessible, quality resources from providers who have informed us that they are available and ready to support the community.





Mobile Crisis
Intervention Services

In-home behavioral or mental health crisis service and assessment for children and youth.

A collection of resources, guides, and information developed by an interagency collaborative for CT families, schools and municipalities.

Child Guidance Center of Southern CT

Crisis services, specialized treatment services (including trauma-informed counseling), prevention services, and testing/assessments.

Family Centers – Center for Hope (Darien Location)

Individual and group counseling services, including grief counseling support.

Crisis services, specialized treatment services (including trauma-informed counseling), prevention services, and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs).

Kids in Crisis

Emergency shelter, crisis counseling, community education programs, and support for domestic violence, mental health concerns, homelessness, substance abuse, economic difficulties, and other critical challenges. 24 hours a day Hotline with trained Crisis Counselors, and provides free, confidential phone and face-to-face intervention, counseling, and referrals.  Services available in Spanish.
