Summer Math Practice

Summer Math Practice

Summer math practice helps students review prerequisite skills, maintain mathematical fluency, and prepare for success in the upcoming school year.

While we encourage all students to engage in mathematics over the summer, summer practice is required for students who have received approval for a course placement waiver or a level jump. These students are expected to complete the assigned summer practice packet and be fluid with skills on it by the first week of school.

The purpose of the summer practice is to strengthen prerequisite skills and help students transition successfully into the pace and rigor of their new course.

Please note: Summer practice is also required for all students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) mathematics courses.
